School History

It is an unaided, co-educational institution where deaf boys and girls grow up together in a healthy atmosphere of equality and mutual respect. The school aims at the integral and all-round development of young deaf boys and girls by giving them an education which is morally, socially, culturally, physically and mentally sound. Great stress is laid on national aspirations and accordingly students are helped to become mature, imbibed with values to become worthy citizens of India.

A course on religious instructions is given to the Catholic students whereas value education is imparted to the non-Catholics.

English is the medium of instruction, but equal importance is given to Hindi the languages of our nation and cultural heritage. And Indian Sign Language is also taught as it is the mother tongue of the deaf. Importance of speech is given to those children who are able to develop their speech.

The institution conducts classes from Nursery to Class X with the objective of preparing its students for the Certificate Examination of the CBSE, New Delhi.

Objectives Of School

1- To promote and provide qualitative and value based education to the deaf children of this area.

2- To provide better facilities to develop their sense of discipline and motor activities.

3- To improve their health an aptitude for extra curricular activities and sports.

4- To maintain their life and chanalize their energy in a healthy way.

5- To direct them for their future life on self dependency.

6- To provide a spiritual motivation and faith in God to the children.

7- To rescue them from child labor.

Cultural, art etc. Though these children cannot hear and talk and sing they have other capacities such as talents for dance and other cultural activities, play and sports. They need indoor play and games. As they are deaf their vision is more active and they lean more by seeing things. So occasional picnics and visionary programs are very helpful for them. Children are taught moral stories, bible stories etc in order to help them to form their character.

School Uniform

N.B:-

1. Every pupil is required to wear the prescribed uniform only.

2. All pupils necessarily need to attend classes and other school functions strictly in school uniform. It is mandatory to ensure that their uniform is of the approved pattern only. Students who come to school without proper uniform are liable to be send home.
